Christopher Lawson-Quick is a multi-instrumentalist published composer, performer and business entrepreneur.
Chris is a published songwriter at 13 Artists - Warner/Chappell Music and has recently been working with his band Shadowlark on the release of their debut album with Producer Dan Austin (Doves, You Me at Six) with release plans being finalised throughout the 2020 lockdown.
Chris’ live performance career spans the last 12 years having been represented by some of the biggest agency’s such as Coda Agency, X-ray Touring and 13 Artists with highlights including main stage performances at festivals such as Glastonbury, Green festival and Cropredy as well as gracing stages at Leeds and Reading Festival to Bestival Green Man and End of the Road.
Chris’ previous bands include Ellen and the Escapades and Session touring work for Fossil Collective (Dirty Hit Records) and Paul Thomas Saunders (Atlantic Records), which saw him support the likes of First Aid Kit to Paolo Nutini. Some of Chris’s recent shows with Shadowlark include supporting George Ezra as part of his Forest Live series at Cannock Chase Forest.
As a composer Chris has had his worked use on TV and Film, with highlights including the 2012 Olympics coverage on the BBC and the recent 2019 Amazon Prime documentary Take us Home.
As an academic, Chris has a BA (Hons) in Popular Music and a Master’s Degree in Music Composition.
