Leeds Junior Conservatoire FAQs 2022/23
Timetables will be sent out as soon as they are finalised which is usually the first week in September.
All term dates can found on the Term Dates page of our website.
You will collect your ID card from your tutor on the next in person session.
Courses are age specific and ability assessed, so have a look at the different course pages on the Leeds Junior Conservatoire section of the website. If you are still unsure, please email junior@lcm.ac.uk.
LJC Experience students will automatically move into LJC Performance after their 12th birthday. If you are 11 years old on the 1 September and your 12th birthday is in October for example, you will stay in LJC Experience until the proceeding year. Students in this situation are timetabled with students of similar ability and age.
Unless you have chosen the LJC Target or Performance+ programme, you will not receive an instrumental lesson as part of your main timetable. However, we do offer 1-1 lessons through our Additional 1-1 programme where students receive online lessons from our tutors.
The deadline for bursary applications is 22 July. We will review all applications and email a result of the amount we are able to award by the 22 August.
If you would like to apply for a bursary but didn't choose to apply for one on your completed enrolment form, please let us know by emailing Junior@lcm.ac.uk.
You can either pay in full or by monthly direct debit.
If you would like to pay by direct debit, you will need to complete and return the direct debit form by Saturday 27 August.
If you would like to pay in full, we will send out the Leeds Conservatoire payment details.
We understand that people’s choices change, so please email Junior@lcm.ac.uk with any requests after the enrolment form has been completed. Although not guaranteed, we will try our best to change your timetable.
