Leeds College of Music has been nominated for a prestigious Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Award 2018 (THELMAs).
The conservatoire is delighted to have been shortlisted for Outstanding Estates Strategy, a category that recognises exceptional work in Higher Education estates departments.
These national awards celebrate the range of professional services and talent working in UK higher education.
As a specialist music institution, we pride ourselves on providing professional industry standard facilities to ensure our students are able to fulfil their creative vision.
This THELMA nomination recognises the significant investment to improve the student experience at LCoM over the past three years with the completion of four transformational projects.
In 2015, we realised our regional RIBA Award-winning new entrance, whilst the past 12-months has seen LCoM deliver a £1.25m bespoke music library and a refurbished and repurposed facility on Level 5 of our Quarry Hill campus.
A major extension to our 350-seat performance space ‘The Venue’ to create a new bar, catering and conference space, completed the programme of investment.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 21 June at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London in what is the 10th anniversary of the THELMAs.
